Unable to install update error

I'm trying to update my iPhone 6 16 GB running iOS 9.2.1 to iOS 9.3.1 but when I try to install the update OTA it says "Unable to install update". How could I fix this problem? The touch ID is not available because the device is space gray with a white screen and a gold Touch ID button, does that affect the updating process?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.2.1

I would try to update using iTunes

Connect the device using a cable to a computer (PC or Mac) running the latest version of iTunes 12.3.3

The once the phone is detected choose update software

If the phone is not detected - see here
