Message app is no longer auto capitalizing first word of a sentence.

I have a Mac Bood Pro (retina) running El Capitan. Recently I noticed when I'm in Messages that it no longer auto capitalizing the first word of a sentence. I've looked in preferences and can't find a way to change it back to auto capitalizing. The auto cap works perfectly on my iPhone.

Hi,

I have seen this question once before.

I don't ever remember the Mac version being able to do this.

It would seem some things can be set here

But I cannot get it to do a lower case i space to an upper case I space as a starting point.

This would be the other likely place.
