It keeps saying that my computer is not authorized but Im pretty sure its authorized

Well, now iTunes is recognizing my iPhone but is saying sync failed to start
OK.... How in the world did you interpret that as "my computer is not authorized"?
What version of iTunes are you running? What version of iOS is running on the phone?
What version (exactly) of OS X are you running?
Get everything up to date and try again.
That was the original message popping up yesterday and when i plugged in the phone to the computer today, it was seeing it in iTunes.

iOS 9.3.1
OS X El Capitan 10.11.1
Both iTunes and OS X are out of date. Update them before you spend any more time beating your head against the wall.
