Q: using iMac 27-inch Mid 2011 as an external monitor with a PC via mini DisplayPort

I am finding conflicting information via web search about being able to use my iMac 27-inch, Mid 2011 as an external monitor with a PC. Is it possible to use the iMac as an external monitor via Target Display Mode between the iMac's Thunderbolt port with a PC that has a mini DisplayPort?

Of course I'd love to hear that this is possible with the right cable. But if it's not possible, I'd like to know for sure.
