Get Error message when trying to update Itunes to windows 10 computer
Trying to update Itunes to my Windows 10 computer. Get error message, contact support or package vendor.
iPod touch, Windows 10
- Make sure Windows is fully up to date with Windows Update.
- Download iTunes from the Further information area of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
- Open your downloads folder and select the installer. Press Ctrl+C to copy.
- Right-click on an empty area of the folder or your desktop and click Paste shortcut.
- Right-click on the shortcut and click Properties.
- On the Compatibility tab choose Windows 7 and tick Run this program as an administrator.
- Click OK, then double-click the shortcut to run it.
If that doesn't work you could see if the next most recent version of iTunes will install rather than the current one, or try the steps in Install missing components to install each component of iTunes individually.
