How do I store my Apple Pencil with a Smart Cover when there is no place to store it?

That probably depends on what else you carry. I keep my iPad, Pencil and some related doodads in a zippered neoprene case I've had since I bought my original iPad. It gets stuffed in my messenger bag. Many backpacks and briefcases have pen sleeves somewhere inside.
