Photos VERY slow - won't load

I have constant issues with Apple TV. I have the latest model and software.

Photos will usually show thumbnails of all the photos, but I can never view them when selected. It just has a spinner attempting to load them and it never stops and it never loads.

I also see situations where previews of music albums, or really any content, won't appear.

What is going on with Apple TV?

Apple TV (4th generation), iOS 9.3.1

I did a reboot from the system preferences menu and it seemed to resolve my ongoing issues. Not sure why it was having so many issues, but perhaps one of the automatic updates created an issue?
