Resetting iPhone

Is it important to sign out of an iCloud account before completely resetting your iPhone?

I know that you must log out of Find my iPhone and sign out of iTunes, but will it matter if I leave my account signed in??

Also is there any more important things I need to do before resetting my iPhone (without losing any of my stored content)
