Track pad not working in Recovery Mode Macbook Pro

Hi, Yesterday I was trying to copy some data from my iPhone on to my Mac Book Pro. And suddenly finder stopped responding. I hardpressed the power button and restarted the mac. Now it stays on the white screen. The possible solution which I could figure out was to use disk utility and fix the disk.

But when I boot into recovery mode I am not able to use the trackpad. It just wouldn't work. I can move the cursor but the click as well as the tap is not working, so basically unable to use disk-utility feature. Please help...😢
