Changing email address

Hi all, I'm trying to change my email address but when I log into the new Apple ID site it asks me for some security answers, eg favourite teacher etc, I have never set up these questions so why is it asking me for answers to questions I didn't choose? It will not let me continue and apple chat doesn't seem to be available, can anyone help?
