How do i get iCloud to accept my credit card? They are the only people on the world who don't recognise it and thereby cannot upgrade my iCloud account, which is otherwise full? a very frustrating morning and little help from the support team.

I have had a terrible morning with my Mac and icoud account, trying to upgrade But when I get to the pay section it says my credit card is not recognised in Italy where I live. I have't got another one. So cannot upgrade it would seem, and am likely to have account closed although I am deleting lots of stuff to liberate some space. Any suggestions? I find the support team hopeless… they ring and then leave y0u for half an hour waiting and then no answer, I want a written answer if possible. Thanks for any help and suggestions.
