Dock n Talk and I Pad Mini

I am looking at a device called Dock n Talk to connect into my home phone devices and quit using the landline. Is this possible with an IPad Mini as the base device with Dock n Talk?

iPad Mini, iOS 9.3.1

The website lists the phone as a compatible device not an iPad

The iPad can not make phone calls on its own, so this would not work.
