Is there anyway to update an app across all devices without activating "updates" in settings?
i do not want all Apps to update automatically. I prefer to choose what apps update and when.
i use to be able to go into updates... Pick an app to update and it would it update across all devices.
i would like this option again.

It isn't possible to do what you'd like. You could make a suggestion at http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html although I think such an enhancement is unlikely, at least at the consumer level.
