iOS file sharing not working with AD users

Hello all, has anyone gotten the iOS file sharing part of OS X server working with users that come from Active Directory?

Funny thing is I can add the "server" account fine in iOS under Mail, Contacts, and Calendar and it seems to authenticate, but when I go into an App like the mail app to attach something and then select the "server" it then says authentication failed. I assume it has something to do with the users coming from AD.
