Macbook pro randomly restarts

If anybody can help me I'd be so grateful!

For months and months now my macbook has the habit of randomly restarting. Sometimes it won't do it much or for ages but at other times it will do it dozens of times in a row!

Obviously this is very frustrating as I can't get any work done when it's having one of it's (1hr) moments.

I've tried a bunch of different things, the list has gone on and on (including tons of random things like disabling font book and booting up in safe mode), the things I recently tried which were recommended by apple are resetting the navram and resetting the SMC, but to no avail!

I really don't know what caused it to start happening but I remember it started before my gap year a year ago (this is what has thrown me off as I can't remember what I had just done but I think it was an update or something?)

Sometimes the restarts really do seem random but it will often hapen if I go back on to a web browser and start scrolling left or right, often when I move and often when I've left my mac for a bit then come back to start working again.
