How do I use the apps in purchase on my IMAC , when I purchased them from my IPAD2.

That is a question for iTunes Support. You should receive a receipt for your purchase by email. There will be a Report a problem link. Use that to ask iTunes Support your request.
If they were both produced by the same people, you’re probably better off contacting the developer instead of Apple.

As has been reported here by users 100s of times over, Apple, and Apple alone, is responsible for refunds regarding apps from the App Stores. Users are told by the developers that Apple is who decides and makes refunds.
If they want or need the iOS version, getting a refund for it through Apple would prevent them from updating or redownloading it.

I'm not familiar with folks getting credit for the cost of the iOS version towards the additional purchase of the Mac version. If he had bought the Mac version and decided that he also wanted the iOS version as well, would he then expect to get the iOS version free?
