Does Time Machine backup the home library?

I use Time Machine to make regular backups to an external hard drive. When I browse the backup on the external drive, I cannot find my home library: ~/Library.

My MacBook Pro is running Mavericks 10.9.5 and the library is hidden in Finder, but I don't think is the reason it's not appearing in the Time Machine backup on my external drive.

Q1: Does Time Machine backup the home library to my external drive?

Q2: If it does, where is it? Or how can I access it?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), Time Machine

1. Yes.

2. Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Enter Time Machine.
