Lost Storage

I have an IPAD that was hit with a virus 18 months ago, locking the screen, as it wasn't passcoded I rang support, and was talked through emergency restoration, however 18 months on I have discovered it has restored to 64GB, rather than 128 GB, apart from taking it in to Apple is there a way to get my last 64GB back
