Several of the same artist listed, only on mac itunes.

When i search for an artist on my iPhone all of their music appears no problem, but when i search for an artist on iTunes on my mac some artists are listed several times, not allowing me to play/view all music by that artist at once. Instead i see 2 or in some cases 8 or more tabs for the exact same artist. Other feeds, with similar problems, solution's didn't work. All of the versions of the artist are spelled the same under both "details" and "sorting" and have been changed and redone, yet still the problem has not been fixed. Despite all this there is no issue al all when searching for artists on my iPhone.
