How can I play movies in the background?

When I play an I-Tunes movie, and then Alt-Tab to another application, the movie playback stops, and I'm back at the I-Tunes interface for the movie (which is horribly designed, by the way). Is there a fix for this? Seriously, if you have decided to force users to play movies only in the foreground instead of being able to listen to the audio while working on something else, then whomever came up with that idiotic idea should be fired - right before the person who approved the I-Tunes 12 UI (and the entire UX team). This is NOT good design.
