iTunes

Q: my songs show up on itunes, but won't sync to my iphone?

I have a 64 GB iPhone 6S Plus, and a lot of songs, but a lot of space left. Normally, I download new songs, drop them in the "Automatically Add to iTunes" folder, connect my phone to my laptop, and all the songs automatically sync. However, I tried to do the same thing tonight, and none of my songs got added to my phone? So I thought maybe there was something wrong with my iTunes, but when I went to check, it showed all of the songs in the iTunes library, and they played perfectly fine. So, I'm really not sure what's wrong. I did the same thing I always do, so what could be the problem?

It seems like songs didn't sync to your iPhone as they have in the past. Based on this information, it's hard to say what the problem could be, although you've helped narrow it down by determining that the songs play in your iTunes library.

Next, I recommend double-checking the sync settings in iTunes to make sure the new music is set to sync to your iPhone automatically. You can use the steps in the following link as a guide: Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iTunes using USB.

If your iPhone doesn't appear in the iTunes menu, you can use the troubleshooting steps in If iTunes doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod.
