Q: My iphone 6 is saying i need a newer version of Itunes but there are no updates available

I am trying to put the contact from my old phone (Iphone 5s) to the new phone (Iphone6s). But the new phone says that it needs a newer version of Itunes, but there I have made sure my itunes is up to date.  Does anyone have an suggestions? I even downloaded it from the website again.
