iPad 2 home button does not bring me home

How can I bring my iPad to the home screen ? When I press the home button, the screen flashes between the opening display of a Mobile Interactive app 13 times then goes black. The iPad has been fully charged.

Hi

Press & hold power button & menu button hold both down until you see the apple logo .

This can take 30 seconds .

I saw this on an iPhone/iPad blog (by googling for it) and it worked easily and instantly.

1. Launch any app that comes pre-installed with your iPhone or iPad.
2. Press and hold the Power (Sleep/Wake) button until the “slide to power off” appears.
3. Release the power button and press and hold the Home button until “slide to power off” goes away.

Forgot to use a preinstalled app, still recalibrated instantly.
