Fast switch of clips at 0:37

Whats up guys, I was just wondering if there's an effect or transition in FCPX that replicates the effect at around 0:37 seconds. At first it seems like just speeding up the clip, but I can never seem to get it just right. Thanks for any advice you might have!

Yep, just a bunch of quick cuts. Zoom into your Timeline enough to be accurate. Stack one clip on top of the other, and then blade out and delete the segments of the top clip you don't want. Use left and right arrow keys, count the number of frames, keep the gabs the same frame count for steady rhythm.

The frame rate appears to be 29.97, and these quick cuts seem to be just 3 or 4 frames long, but don't feel like you have to do what this guy did. Experiment and see what you like.


Stacking meaning putting things on top of each other. You could end up with something like this:

then use the blade to cool to cut pieces of the top clip and reveal the bottom one:
