Q: Transfer text messages from an old iPhone to a new?

Hi!

 

I've just bought a new iPhone, and I was wondering, if I can transfer my text messages from my old iPhone to the new?

I've read about it on another site, and they say, that you only can do it, if you use a iCloud backup, but is it 100% sure, that it transfer my text messages? Is there another way?

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.1

Backup your current iPhone using iTunes or iCloud.

Go through the iPhone set up and when you get to the screen below, select the appropriate Restore From  (iTunes or iCloud) option:
