iMessage not showning Message Read

Since updating to iOS 9.3.1 -- some of my iMessages will not show when they have been read by the people that I've sent them too -- even though they have read the message, and responded back to them.

And before anyone asks -- the people that I have sent the messages too, DO have that feature turned on.

It doesn't happen all the time, and will happen on one of my devices, when the other shows that the message has been read on another.

For example - I will iMessage my wife with my iPhone, and it doesn't come up as READ, but if I check the same message on my iPad, it does come up as READ.

Just wondering if this has been happening to anyone else.
