How long to zero the hard drive on a 3Tb Airport Time Capsule?
iMac with Retina 5K display, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

It's been slowly flashing for four days now. How do I know whether it's finished - I expected the light to become steady!
I think I've understood!! It has finished deleting the hard drive - I mounted it in Finder and it's blank/ it says 3TB free in Airport Utility/Airport Time Capsule/Disks. It is probably still flashing because it has no internet connection. So in this state it is not possible to know exactly when it finished and I have probably been wasting electricity for at least a couple of days! Thank you for your help!
