is IWork default in OSX elcapitan

Question

is IWork default in OSX elcapitan

My macbookair produced in mid2011 with OSX10.7.5 . upgraded to elcapitan 4 months ago.do not have iWork apps? are they in this new OS. by the way my New OS was not downloaded from app store but installed at a authorised apple dealer store in south india

no iWork &iLife apps. will i get them if i redownload & reinstall elcapitanOS from app store

The iWork and iLife applications aren’t part of Mac OS X; if they aren’t on the computer, they need to be downloaded or bought separately. If you associated the preinstalled copies with an Apple ID, log into the Mac App Store with it and click on the Purchases tab.
