some music not listed on Apple TV

I have the older Apple TV (with non-Siri remote). I've set up Home Sharing on my i-Mac (with El Capitan). The Apple TV picks up some of the music, but is far from a complete listing, missing some artists, and missing albums under various artists.

What do I need to do to get Apple TV to show my complete i-Tunes library?
