Safari "define" button doesn't work

When I highlight a word in Safari and choose "define," nothing happens. I'm also experiencing the frequent page reloads that others have reported. Does anybody have a real solution? (Please refrain from the usual generic "close Safari completely and choose clear history and website data in settings" cut-and-paste -- I'm way past that.) I like the iPad a lot, but I've never run into an issue with any browser in Windows that I wasn't able to quickly locate a solution for. How are you supposed to fix anything with an iPad when you can't get under the hood? You're completely at the mercy of Apple, and if they don't give a ****, where does that leave you?

I Share your frustration. I called apple support. I asked why did it use to work and why doesn't it now? When I click on a word in safari it gives me the option to "copy, define, share". When I click on define nothing happens. I was told by apple support that it's a problem and they will submit the complaint to the techs, and MAYBE if they get enough complaints they will fix it. They told me I could try a work around using Siri. That was not an acceptable answer. They told me there was nothing I could do and there was no one I could call. REALLY! This is suppose to be Apple! I spoke with a Sr. Specialist. I just want to have back something I use to have. Give me back my dictionary! Who can I call? Does Apple really care? Or have they gotten so big they no longer care about their customers? I invite anyone from Apple to call me and explain why this is happening.
