MDP TO HDMI PROBLEM mac book air

I Have a macbook air 13". Mid 2011, i have to try connect to a TV LG led 32" with the cable iwires (techlink) but my computer don't detect the TV and on TV appear don't signal.

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)
