Q: how to delete an old account on the first setup.

my uncle gave me an ipad and i turned it to the factory settings without hesitation but after the format this ipad 2 wants me to enter my uncles apple id which i dont have and my uncle doesnot remember it. thats why i cant use it. can you please help me with this issue thanks

    The iPad is Activation Locked as described here:

    Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support

     

    The article contains a section: "What if I forget my Apple ID password?"  You say your uncle forgot his Apple ID (not the password, but the actual ID).  He should therefore contact Apple Support as that paragraph suggests to verify his identity.

    apple support says you need an e mail adress for them to send a new password. but the problem is the conected email adres has not been used over 4 years and my uncle does not remember that password too.

     

    here's what we know about this ipad 2;

    1) conected apple id name

    2) buyer name

    3) and identifications of my uncle

     

    thats about it thanks
