Unable to restore from encrypted backup for iPhone

Hi,

Recently I had to exchange my defective iPhone 6s. I created a backup before I returned it.

I tried restoring from encrypted backup on the new iPhone.

It is asking for a password. I dont remember the pwd.

Can anyone help?

Hi saichakilam

Unfortunately the encrypted backup is worthless without the password.

Your only option is to either try and remember it or set it up as a new device.

... or use an iCloud backup, if you set that option on your iPhone.
