I would really appreciate some help here.
How do I get my movies from photos into final cut pro?
I'm working on a El Capitan software, I have a macbook pro.
I've tried dragging them on to my desktop and then I can import them but they're coming up as a thumbnail.
I've also tried to drag all my files into my hard drive and then on to final cut pro. Again they come up as thumbnails.
I would really appreciate some help.

IF you're going to bring your video into FCP you realiy don't want to bring it into Photos first. It does not process and prepare it properly for production. (Like the alliteration?)

I've been messing with this all of today. Does it really make a huge difference?
I would love to just begin the cut if not. I also want the best quality, so if it does matter I will start again.

IT probably does matter, but it depends on exactly what the media specs are. Also your media is being duplicated as the application will not access it from inside the Photos library in most instances.
