iBook G4 14.1" Questions!

I am Getting an iBook G4 14.1" October 2003 version and have some questions... What is the biggest Hard Drive I can fit into it?

Also, Seller States that the Wi-Fi works INTERMITTENTLY, So how would I go by fixing this?

The iBook G4 has an internal IDE HD adapter. The Western Digital WD3200BEVE Scorpio Blue 320GB is one of the biggest Hard Drives.

This iBook model uses the Apple Airport Extreme Card A1026 M8881LL/A (speeds up only to 54M bit/sec) you may find one in used condition or use a faster USB WLAN N Stick which has drivers for OSX 10.4 Tiger (i don't know which OS runs on your iBook)

The October 2003 build model shows to be a G3 PowerPC 900MHz 14.1-inch LCD, with 32MB VRAM.

{ info as follows, from database app http://MacTracker.ca -- cross check with http://everymac.com }

Introduced April 2003

Discontinued October 2003

Model Identifier PowerBook4,3

Model Number --

Order Number M9009LL/A

Original OS Mac OS X 10.2.4 (6I34) and Mac OS 9.2.2

Maximum OS Mac OS X 10.4.11

Hardware Test AHT (iBook) 1.2.4

{an earlier 14.1-inch G3 iBook shows similarly, but with different Order Number M8862LL/A}

(A model number such as A1007 may be used across several builds, in brand/name series)

So this would not be a G4, as they were not available until a later build year upgrade model... unless it

has been mis-identified by the seller in one way or another. If the serial number is known or available

to you, you can enter it into an online database lookup tool to see more about that specific unit. Note:

a second page tab or button may allow more specific info on your exact SN build, not readily apparent.
