My fiancé just got the same iPhone 6s Plus I have and for him to download he doesn't need a credit card, but everytime I want to download something I have to. I cannot even update my apps because it says my payment method is being declined and I don't know what I'm being charged for?
You're not going to be charged for doing updates, but a valid payment method still needs to be on file.
