Syncing bookmarks

Is there any way to sync the Safari bookmarks in my computer to my iPhone 6 without going through iCloud (the way it can be done with contacts). Every time I use the cloud it mixes up old bookmarks with new and delivers a mishmash of duplications into my phone which I then have to laboriously delete one by one.
