Q: Apple TV will no longer connect to iTunes

I recently upgraded my router to improve the reach to my backyard.  At first it worked flawlessly, super fast connect from twice as far as before...and now?  NOTHING!  I try to connect via the Remote app on my iPhone...nothin!  Try to connect via iTunes...nada!!!  I've checked and re-checked the ethernet connections in the Apple TV settings, tried manual, tried automatic...nothing!!!!!!  Shut down, turned around did the hokey-pokey....nothin!  Personally I think Apple TV is a piece of junk!  I'm running iTunes 12.3.3.17 on a Mac Pro tower running Yosemite 10.10.5, not sure what version of Apple TV but I've had it a few years.
