Unresponsive IPhone 6 Plus screen w/ white horizontal bar on top.

So woke up one morning with my IPhone 6 plus screen completely unresponsive and with this white horizontal bar at the top of my screen. For the past couple days I haven't been able to unlock my phone and I already called Apple which they then proceeded to tell me to back up and set my IPhone as new which didn't work. My warranty has expired already so I can't get it replaced, but what I'm wondering is would Apple send me a replacement because this is a hardware problem I just woke up with I haven't recently dropped the phone or spilled liquids on it. And now I can't get the phone to go into recovery mode either.
