AMD driver instability on 2014 Retina iMac

I'm running Radeon Software Version 15.11 as downloaded via Apple Software Update in Boot Camp on a Retina iMac, R9 M290X. Windows 10.

15.301.2101-160209a-299468C

Radeon Settings Version

2016.0209.2253.41136

3D games, mainly Asphalt 8, tend to crash and recover. The previous AMD driver was more stable, however I'm now able to achieve 5K resolution so I'm loath to downgrade.

Any suggestions?

(Also, why does Apple install a Radeon Settings app that attempts to download drivers that are incompatible with Boot Camp?)
