Just bought my first ipad..... Playing with it like mad.... Unfortunately, there are lots of bugs in the OS.
Here is one, saved a PDF from Firefox into iBooks; Now ibooks is not functioning. Very disappointed.

Try a simple Reset: hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (15-20 seconds).

I'm curious... See if you experience the same issue if you download the PDF in Safari.
It might be a Firefox issue.

I Too have had same problem, uploaded 6gb of pdfs to iCloud and iBooks upgraded to so 9.3.5 then couldn't see them tried everything even stumped apple techie team, so updated to os10 and have access to everything all books and pdfs downloaded from iCloud as 10 sees them whereas 9.3.5 couldn't see one of the . Hurray for os10.:))
