Q: Sleep issue with the new imac
HI, I've noticed that I can only put my imac to sleep for short periods of time; meaning if I put it to sleep for a short period of time I can click on my magic mouse and all is well "it comes on" however if I put it to sleep say over night, when I click my magic mouse to turn on "it doesn't" I guess you might say it had a lot its magic at this point. In one instance I had to turn the system off via the power button, plug out the cord as instructed by an apple representative and wait 15 seconds before I plugged back in and started up. On the second occasion I plugged in an old wired mouse clicked it and the computer came on, it appears then that after a long sleep the magic mouse and wireless keyboard somehow lost functionality. The Apple rep just said instead of letting it sleep for long periods turn it off, which is cool but I would like to get to the bottom of it. Has anyone else experienced this, is it normal for your new Imac to behave in this way, is the sleep function only for short periods of inactivity?
Thanks for your help
