Q: Can I add a description to a photo?

Hello

I have a MacBook Pro and I use Photos V1.3. Since it has changed I work out how to do anything on it!!

Does anyone know how I add a description to an individual photo please?

Thanks

Rachel

Do you want write text into the photo or add a description that you can use for searches, Rachel?

    • To add metadata fro searching select photo and enter the key combination ⌘I to open the Info panel.
    • Then type a title into the Title field of the panel or and a description into the description field. You can also adda place, keywords, or faces names from the Info panel.

If you select several photos at once, that need the same description, typing the text into the Info panel will add the same title or description to all selected photos.

If you want to write text as graphics into the photo you need to use an external editor like Preview. The "External Photo Editors" extension will let you call Preview to add a text.
