How do I turn off narration in a purchased movie?
I bought Les Miserables only to discover there is audible narration of scenes with no dialogue. How do I turn it off?

I had the same problems it was audio description being on. Even though I thought it was off. I came back again and found it on. Really poor software in my option. Lots of freezing with my "new" Apple tv
You can turn off audio descriptions via Settings > General > Accessibility > Audio Descriptions > Prefer Audio Descriptions 'off' - is that what you mean, that setting is currently 'on' ?
Thanks for your reply. No, that setting is off. The narration is in the film itself. I bought the HD version, and nowhere did I see that it contained narration, I assume for the visually impaired. I can find no link to disable it.
The only other setting that I know about is for closed captioning : Turn on closed captions and subtitles on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Yes, I've tried that one too. Here's another mystery: when I play the film on my desktop, there is no narration. I hoped that after syncing, the same would be true on my IPad. It wasn't.
However, on my IPad, I clicked on "English (United Kingdom)" under Audio & Subtitles rather than the default "English (United States) AD". The narration is gone! Thanks so much for your interest.
