My friend's iPhone 5 (iOS 9.3) keeps vibrating (continuously) while receiving a call and it won't stop until i answer it (or being rejected) and it's not important what kind of vibration pattern i choose. As long as vibration is active (for any pattern), this problem exists. He has this problem when his phone was on iOS 8 and he has it now too.

Settings - Sounds - Vibrate on ring - toggle to OFF
It's been a misunderstanding i think.
I don't wanna disable vibrating on ring permanently. What i want is to have vibrate on ring BUT with defined patterns.
As i explained, this phone starts to vibrate when somebody calls and and the vibration CONTINUES (without being stopped and no matter what kind of vibration pattern i choose) until i answer the call.
Settings > Sounds > Ringtone > Vibration Mode
then Choose any Pattern as you wish
I explained that no matter what kind of pattern i choose, still it will do the vibrate in a single way. It vibrates all along with ringing without stop for a moment. It means it doesn't care which kind of pattern i choose.
Then you have to restore as new from iTunes after backing up the device
Once the device is at factory settings see if the issue resolves
If it does restore the backup
