As my laptop is starting up it opens I tunes automatically and I would like to not open at that time

As my computer is starting up it automatically opens I tune. How do I stop that?

There are a couple of ways. If you are actually using 10.6.7, then you need to go to:

 > System Preferences > Users and Groups > Select your User > Login Items > Click iTunes and then press the ➖

If you are using a newer OS X (10.7 or later), you also need to make sure the OS isn't reopening iTunes because of an OS feature. When you log out of a user or shut the computer down, you will be given this prompt:

User uploaded file

If the box is checked, it will open anything that was open when the computer shut down.

PS: If you are using 10.6.7 still, you should update to 10.6.8 at the very least.
