Import folders to Photos app as albums

Unfortunately all iOS devices display photos by "date created" (often the same as "date taken" but not alway). There is no way to change this display mode on folders that you sync from your Mac.

You could airdrop photo by photo to Camera Roll and then create new albums. You would be able to rearrange the photos within the newly created albums but this would be a lot of work if you have many pictures to arrange.

Please note that the post above mine refers to Photos for Macs and will have no bearing on what you are trying to do in an iPad.

Unfortunately that is not right. If you sync picture folders from your Mac to the iPad they will appear in your Photos App as a folder and you will not be able to re-organize the order on the iPad. The iPad native Photos app will display the pictures by "date created" or "date taken" as I previously mentioned.
