How to change song art but not album art?

So basically I'm having trouble with album art in iTunes. I want to change the art of each individual song within an album, but not the album art itself. Problem is, when I put the art in, whatever the first song's album art is becomes the cover art for the album, and when I put art in under the "Other Art" section of a song, it doesn't appear as that song's art in iTunes or my iPhone. Is there any way to fix this?
