ipad 2 locked

ok so my church had a rummage sale to raise money for one of our members. while at this rummage sale i bought a i pads 2. when i got it home and charged it i found out it was still attached to another account. due to everything being donated i have no way of finding out who the previous owner was. so is there anything i can do to have that info removed and it added to my device list?
