May 6, 2016 2:35 PM in response to shuttercrazyby léonie,Aperture can use the RAW support for OS X El Capitan, see: Digital camera RAW formats supported by OS X El Capitan - Apple Support
You'll have to wait for the next Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update. If the next update will be released for el Capitan and support your camera, you will probably be able to use it in Aperture, It is unlikely that Aperture will ever be updated, because Apple stopped the developement.
Adobe Camera RAW already supports the 80D, see: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html#Can on
While you are waiting for the RAW support in Aperture, you could convert the RAW files to DNG files with the free DNG Converter: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=6044
Aperture can read DNG files.

May 14, 2016 3:09 PM in response to shuttercrazyby Gochugogi,I'm pretty sure 80D RAW profile support will be added at the system level in the near future. Apple used to be faster on the draw when Aperture was marketed to Photo Pros. Now Apple doesn't have a pressing deadline to add camera profiles since pros use LR/Phase 1/DXo and the great unwashed uses Photos mainly for iPhone images. While waiting, the Canon DPP 4.x app actually works well at basic adjustments and conversion of 80D RAW. You can even set it up to open the exported TIFF in PS for further adjustments.

Jun 26, 2016 9:39 AM in response to léonieby Gochugogi,I used the new 80D RAW profile in Aperture 3.6x for many hours today (3 months of images!) and, although it was a long wait, Apple did a good job on the profile. The default look is very close to Canon's DPP app. In comparison, the 70D and SL1 profiles aren't nearly as good. One odd thing: images optimized in DPP are recognized as a new image and Aperture and Photos both import two copies of the file, albeit both copies look exactly the same (the DPP changes don't actually transfer).
